2019 NFL Mock Draft

The NFL Draft is less than an hour away, so it’s time to submit my annual Mock Draft. Trying to correctly guess the entire first round of the draft is a fool’s errand, but it’s fun to think about where college football players will end up in the NFL. Away we go…

  1. Cardinals–Kyler Murray-QB-This feels like the most uncertain first pick of the last 10 years. Last year, John Dorsey didn’t cut any bull and let others know Baker Mayfield would be the selection the day of the draft. The Cardinals appear to be divided, at least to those of us on the outside. Kliff Kingsbury loves Murray, but will Steve Keim and others in the building go for it? Something tells me Quinnen Williams might be the pick because getting fair value for Josh Rosen will be a challenging task and some consider Williams the best player in the draft. That said, I’m going to stubbornly stick with Murray.
  2. 49ers–Nick Bosa-DE-There are three options: Bosa, Williams or the Niners trade trade down for a boatload of picks. Bosa seems most likely.
  3. Jets–Ed Oliver-DT-The Jets would love to trade down but it’s doubtful at their asking price. Gregg Williams likes Oliver and he’s a perfect fit for the scheme.
  4. Raiders–Quinnen Williams-DT-Mike Mayock has Williams fall into his lap.
  5. Buccaneers–Devin White-LB-This is one of the worst-kept secrets in the draft.
  6. Giants–Josh Allen-OLB-Giants need a pass rusher or two.
  7. Jaguars–T.J. Hockenson-TE-Old school player for an old-school team.
  8. TRADE Redskins–Dwayne Haskins-QB-Whether Jay Gruden likes it or not, the Redskins move up to get, in my opinion, the best QB in this draft.
  9. Bills–Jonah Williams-OT-Brian Daboll coached him at Alabama.
  10. Broncos–Devin Bush-LB-Another badly-kept secret.
  11. Bengals–Brian Burns-DE
  12. Packers–Andre Dillard-OT
  13. Dolphins–Christian Wilkins-DT
  14. Falcons–Montez Sweat-DE
  15. Lions (TRADE w/Redskins)–Jawaan Taylor
  16. Panthers–Clelin Ferrell-DE
  17. TRADE Texans–Cody Ford-T/G
  18. Vikings–Garrett Bradbury-G/C
  19. Titans–Rashan Gary-DE
  20. Steelers–Rock Ya-Sin-CB
  21. Seahawks–Dexter Lawrence-DT
  22. Ravens–Erik McCoy-C/G
  23. Giants (TRADE w/Texans)–Kaleb McGary-OT
  24. Raiders–Drew Lock-QB
  25. Eagles–Jeffery Simmons-DT
  26. Colts–Johnathan Abram-S
  27. Raiders–Josh Jacobs-RB
  28. Chargers–Byron Murphy-CB
  29. Seahawks–D.K. Metcalf-WR
  30. Packers–Noah Fant-TE
  31. Rams–Chris Lindstrom–G/C
