Games of the Week (4)

By Matt Hilkert

Tennessee at Florida
Florida has won the last 10 meetings between these two teams.  However, Florida’s offense has looked anything like a well-oiled machine so far this year.  QB Will Grier has shown flashes, but the passing game has struggled.  Tennessee’s offense has put them in position to win games, but the defense has struggled especially the secondary.  The Swamp will be a tough place for Volunteer quarterback Josh Dobbs to win, but he is one of the more experienced quarterbacks in the SEC.  Tennessee has a slew of play-making receivers but will be facing the toughest secondary it will face all year.  In order for the Gators to win, it will need to shutdown the Tennessee run game.  This is why the Vols will win, as this will not happen.  Look for running back duo Jalen Heard and Alvin Kamara to have solid games.  Florida’s offense will not have enough power to overcome Tennessee’s talent.

Utah at Oregon
Utah brings a solid defense to Eugene along with one the best running backs in Devontae Booker.  Quarterback Travis Wilson is an experienced vet in the Pac-12 but is injury prone.  Both quarterbacks come in with injury problems but both should start,  as Vernon Adams looks to get Oregon back on track starting the Pac-12 schedule.  Oregon has an explosive offense but just couldn’t finish off Michigan State on the road.  Oregons has a great passing and running game that should blow by Utah.
